Easter + Spring Break!

Spring finally came and we have been loving every second being outside!! The kids and I have been having lots of adventures lately... While John was in NYC with a few buddies we got to go visit Marna & Bob which is always so much fun. It was rainy, but we still got to do some exploring outside. The extra fun part was that we got to spend the night... Honey & Paw came with us too and before bed we played a grueling 4 generation game of Uno! These kids have no idea how lucky they are that they not only have amazing grandparents, but have 6 great grandparents that adore them!

We had fun prepping for Easter, though the kids were disappointed that there were not as many decorations as Christmas. These are our blown eggs that we then painted, this year the kids had enough lung power to blow the eggs themselves.

freezing cold egg hunt at school

The month of March the focus of school was music and the week before spring break there was an extra special guest at school.... PAW!!! (their teacher had asked if any parents played any instruments so I volunteered him) Now, he could have easily entertained the kids with just a drum or maybe two, but Max asked Paw to bring all of the drums and there is no way Paw was going to turn him down.  My dad's second job could definitely be a preschool music teacher, he had them dancing, marching, and learning all about the history of the drums! Every time he stopped playing he trained the kids to all scream "more cowbell!!"... Paw was definitely a hit at preschool!

Neveah continues with her creativity and made a doll house that can open up and then wanted the afternoon activity to be making dolls to sleep in it... then we started making our friends, can anyone find Sledd?

Post coming soon about how amazing all of our friends are, but in the mean time Ill highlight the Robinson family (who also live 2 blocks away...) They egged our house! We got this note on our door when we got home Sat. night...

Easter morning was spent egg hunting in our pjs in the rain... can't keep us down! Yes, John and I also helped.

Then we all wore pastels and pretended it was warm... it wasn't!

The bummer was that this is the first year we have broken the tradition of going to the Easter on Parade on Monument... ended up a huge blessing because we got to spend the day being cozy with family at Eric & Crissy's house... The grandparents didn't disappoint with the Easter baskets either.

Neveah loves her grandma so much!!!

Might have to have a re do to get some outside pretend Easter pics... but we still took some inside.

The cutest Easter egg ever!!

We love them.

The new act in town.

Though we didn't go on any exciting trips spring break was really great. The kids and I spent the mornings spring cleaning, de-cluttering, and changing closets and every afternoon going on an adventure of some kind. We got to go to Lewis Ginter a few times, took a road trip to visit the other great grand parents on my side Granny & Paw, and then went to walk on the flood wall...

Since the weather has finally started to turn they have gotten to play with all of our sweet neighbors... this is the all pink picnic.
