Special Dayzzzz part 2

The day finally came to celebrate Max. He was very prepared, as he had been dreaming and planning this day for a long time... It is so funny to see the VERY different parts of their personalities come out. Neveah is typically more reserved and not quite as excitable. Max on the other hand is the most easily excited child ever... he woke up jumping up and down, singing, and laughing about how amazing his special day was going to be. It is only fitting that I also forgot my camera on his day so at least we are even... He was stoked to pick out whatever he wanted to wear (I was convinced he would pick the alien costume), but he chose to wear his comfy pants and the really big t-shirt that used to be John's when he played little league, he kept proudly telling everyone that it was his Daddy's shirt!

Max also picked out everything to put on his poster... he wanted everything to be blue and orange because those are 'cuse colors and he VERY CAREFULLY AND SLOWLY selected every picture to include. He drew some pictures of people playing basket ball and then we made a bunch of basketballs to put all over it. Note... he was excited to let Neveah sit up front with the family.

We spent a few family dinners planning out what we would do for his special day and he came up with a great plan... We read Adam Racoon and the Mighty Giant to the class, shared his poster, and then had the whole class up and dancing to the "silly song"... we still have many dance parties at our house and the favorite lately is David Crowder's I saw the light... we all dance like crazy when it comes on so he wanted to do that with the class. It was so cute watching the class of 4 year olds learn how to do-si-do (sp?) and dance to the banjo! We made it a freeze dance and had a great time!!!

We also had a "surprise" lunch at Chick Fil a with our awesome families... Max kept pretending that this was a surprise because he wanted the full effect. (truly this child is mine)... we finished out the day with his favorite dinner, stuffed shells :)

This is through a window, but I just love it because he was HAPPILY cleaning the play room because he was the "super cleaner upper man". I wish this super hero would return more often!

If the weather would allow, this kid would be playing sports or riding his bike outside all day every day. Baseball usually happens when daddy is able to pitch though (there is typically a lot of complaining about my pitching)

I just love this kid. He brings such excitement and joy to our home... Max has a sensitive heart and is very caring towards others... he still prays everyday for the kids in Mali that need mosquito nets so that they dont get malaria (from VBS last summer). He loooooooves to learn and I'm excited to report that as of a few weeks ago can totally read!! I was so shocked bc something just clicked and he has been so excited with his new skill!
