So many pictures to share!

A few weeks ago we went with 30 of our college students to the beach... this is the 5th year we have done this and is one of my favorite things we do all year! It was amazing quality time with the students and is also so special because I love that Max and Neveah have so many people in their lives that truly love them... they literally have a million honorary aunts and uncles, this year some more were added to the list!

We went to Topsail and had pretty good weather, a few sunny days and a few cloudy, but either way we got to spend every day playing on the beach.

I feel the need to document a few of my favorite moments for memory sake:
- making friendship bracelets while watching Pride and Prejudice
- reading Hunger Games
- cookie casserole
- body body (game)
- playing games every night

 

Neveah didn't take a break from drawing even on the beach. She seriously can't stop!

When asked to stand together and smile for a picture:

 

We ate breakfast every morning on the balcony over looking the ocean... reason #1 because it was amazing out there, reason #2 because we had kept the kids quiet in our room for as long as possible and there were students crashed everywhere inside... many didn't wake up until we were coming in for lunch :)

Jordan is now a part of Chi Alpha which is just the best, so of course Max was his shadow all week.

The house we were in was amazing, but the best part was that there was a big enough closet for the kids to sleep in so they didn't have to be on the floor in our room AND it was super dark in there = longer sleeping in the morning!

 

Our last day was a little gloomy so we decided to have a sand castle building contest... this is Maddy & Elisha's castle & dragon. They worked from 10- 4 without stopping, impressive to say the least.

Hallel, Santosh, and Xiamin worked almost as long and made a beautiful replica of our beach house.

Not sure why (Michael don't be mad) but I didn't get a picture of the Lord of the Rings sand sculpture... it was amazing and had a jelly fish as the eye of Soron sp? All of the sculptures were so good HOWEVER, there was a clear winner and that was John, Jordan, Kelly, Max, Neveah, and I... we made all of district 12 with a monorail leading to the Capitol (Hunger Games). Jordan dug a hole that he could fit into... we all got free milkshakes as our prize.
