That afternoon we went on an adventure to Belle Isle. This is one of John and my favorite places in Richmond and we had never taken the kids there... they had so much fun exploring!
John had a little helper getting some yard work done. Max saw that Daddy was working outside and came running to me yelling in what I think of as his "man voice".. "Mama, I need to get my work gloves, Daddy really really needs my help" He actually worked really hard to help John finish the job.
Neveah is once again another story... the little flower child just ran around the yard singing and then picked up one of the brances John had trimmed and made up a song about her new "umbrella".
Got to catch up with some good friends a few weeks ago... Dem Dog & her fiance Matt came over for dinner and a geography lesson! (the kids love to learn the names of countries so they were showing off a bit!)
We got to see our friends that came home from living in Japan for the past 3 years... despite what it looks like, Haley did end up having a good time we think.
How much has changed since they went to Japan!
Neveah has been having horrible allergies this season, her eyes will get so bad that it looks like they might swell shut. We painted birdhouses during one of the afternoons I was trying to keep them from going outside to play in the pollen.
The 2 little adventurers pack up their backpacks all the time and head out to explore.
