Things about my kids I love:
Neveah:
- Now that the weather is getting more humid her hair is getting so curly & its so cute
- Our nick name for her is now Kobiyachi (sp?)... girl doesn't breath while eating. The other day John stopped her from putting another bite in her mouth bc it was full. She then corrected him by putting it all into one cheek & then showing him that there was plenty of room in the other one. She refuses to start the chewing process until her mouth is so full that food is exploding out of it.
- She sings ALL THE TIME. Most of the time her songs are made up. They are very high pitched ballads that usually have some sort of ballet type dance with them. A lot of times she gets a little diva on us and picks where everyone sits while we listen to her song.
- She is on the clean up crew at church. Every week when she gets down from the nursery she helps Brit tear down everything at the National.
- I have to talk her into letting me put a clip or pony tail in her hair these days, because she prefers to have it in her face... it always looks really crazy! ps... I think her hair grows really slowly.
- She is obsessed with wearing dresses that "pin" (spin). Her face lights up when she gets to wear one of her favorite dresses.
- When it is the 4 of us or another small group of people she talks all the time. Not many people understand her because she doesn't pronounce things super well & she talks really fast. When in a big crowd she prefers to just hang back & observe.
- This week she has been just walking around singing "Its Elmo's world"
- She melts my heart when she says "Mama, you the greatest!"
Maximus:
- Truly loves being the center of attention & will jump right in if his sister seems to be getting near his spotlight
- Common phrases used by Max these days... "I dropped a deuce", "I love you guys", "You are my favorite team", "I love you very much"
- The obsession with basketball is continuing and growing. Every day he tells me that he needs to wear his "bakaball" shorts because he is gonna play basketball with his dad today.
- His hugs are so sweet
- He loves hide & go seek, but continues to be incredibly bad at it
- He DOES NOT STOP talking all day long! His verbal skills amaze us, he remembers everything and can annunciate incredibly well.
- He loves playing with little teeny things & will still carry around the same little toy all day long
- He is the SLOWEST human alive! I think God gave us Max's personality in our family to make us slow down. He just lollygags his way through life enjoying every little moment. Do we get incredibly frustrated as he eats his ice cream one sprinkle at a time? Yes, but he is so stinking cute that we can't get that mad.
- Mandie & Chris told me that while we were gone they made the mistake of taking the kids to ice cream. After over an hour Max still wasn't finished so they had to make the rule that he couldn't talk anymore.
- Max really likes taking off his clothes and putting them in the hamper. In fact for a little while any time he spilled anything on himself (including a small drop of water) he would strip off all his clothes and put them in the washer while I wasn't looking. The other day I spilled water on my shirt and he looked up at me and confidently asked "you gonna take off your clothes mama?" Now he understands that things dry so now every time he has an accident in his pants his way of telling me is by saying "Don't worry Mama, these pants will dry!"
Both:
- They have been playing so well together these days & have truly developed into best buds. When one of them doesn't feel good or gets hurt the other is so sensitive (unless of course they caused it on purpose).
- They are in constant conversation with each other, it is so funny to hear them talk to each other like 2 little adults
- We can get them so pumped about anything!
- Their favorite song is the Bunny Song from music class... the part where "all the little bunnies go hop, hop, hop" is the best. They jump up & down like bunnies, however Max looks nothing like a bunny. Think, goofy bunny doing the Elaine dance and that's what it looks like. The first time Miss Nancy (music teacher) saw what he was doing compared to the other kids she died laughing and said "Max, you make my heart happy!"
SCREW MISS NANCY THIS WHOLE POST MAKES MY HEART HAPPY:) THESE ONES ARE MY FAV
