Last week we used our acorns to make letters that we turned into a sign for this week. Our Bible verse for this week is "Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" - 1 Thes. 5:18... though they don't know the whole thing both Max and Neveah have the give thanks part down!
"looka my made" that is what Max yells to John & I all the time while he points to one of the things that he has made.
We made a "T" memory game and practiced our gluing skills.
Looking for the turkeys, trucks, turtles, & trees...
Our little project on Tues. was putting together a box for a little girl for Operation Christmas Child. There was a lot of explaining before we went about who the gifts would be for and how we were giving gifts, but would not buy anything for ourselves... they did really well.
Veah has her shoe box ready to go.
I let them pick out most of the things for the box, it was so funny that they had really strong opinions. For example they both agreed that the little girl would not want a cookie monster coloring book, but would love a count book!
Went to short pump for the tree lighting... lame (we left before they turned it on), we did have a great evening with the Schultz family though. Neveah & Dayne (Dan) are best friends.
Helpin' Moba
We have been listening to a lot of classical music lately because I pointed out to Max one time that there were violins playing in the music & now he always asks to hear the violins. Dan was so kind to give us a mini concert! He even let Max & Neveah help him play... They love Dayne & Moba!
Onto the 2nd tree lighting of the weekend... Stony Point was waaay better! We got to see Paw play in the Kings of Swing and more importantly got these free toys that light up. They just stared at them all night.
let max listen to this one, its just piano and violin- spiegel im spiegel by arvo part. its german for mirror in the mirror, wont come up in the english trans. though. its one of my favorites.
