The past week and a 1/2 in review

We have been learning about shapes and colors at our house the past couple of weeks so our little art project was painting with sponge shapes... my little artists did great!







Last weekend we had another fun visit with Grandma & Grampy, Grampy did a bunch of handy things around our house (thank you Grampy!) so Max & Neveah had fun following him around trying to play with all the tools. Grandma read them a bunch of their favorite books before bedtime.




We went to visit our animal friends at Maymont & had a little picnic lunch in the shade. This time the favorite animal was the rooster... they were cock-a-doodle-dooing all day long.




A really fun game where you touch your heads together and then die laughing.




Wainbow Wice! Our fun art project this week was making rainbow rice to play with. We started with the plain rice in bags which was quite entertaining just like that.


Max & Neveah helped me shake it all up and we all watched the rice change colors!






Now it is time to play! It was fun to watch them just experience the texture of it all and then we mixed it all up and buried different toys in the rice so they could search for them... They have had so much fun playing with the rainbow rice... every couple of min. Max asks for the "wainbow wice"


They were very responsible and helped to vacuum up the rice that is all over our house!


The bummer part of the week was once again revolving around my ankle. The new x-rays were once again bad and so I had a CT scan done on Fri. to see if I am a candidate for this newish treatment to promote bone growth and if not or if that doesn't work then surgery is the only other alternative. You can imagine how excited I was to hear all of that news... oh and in the mean time I am back in the dreaded boot! Still praying for total healing and for this silly little saga to be finished!
