Blog Lazy

I have been a little blog lazy since we got back from Orlando... I keep thinking of things that I want to post and remember, but by the time I put the kids to bed it just feels like another chore... here is a random grouping of thoughts and things we have been doing!

This week we were really busy.
Tues, we walked to story time at the library to hear Miss Heidi read some stories and sing some fun songs. Neveah sticks pretty close to me while we are there, but Max stands directly in front of Miss Heidi and stares straight up while she reads! They are learning how to do some motions to songs... I'm sure we will be fully participating by the end of the summer!

Thursday we went with our friends Shannon, Hudson, and Will to music class at Grove Ave. Baptist. It was really fun and so cute. We learned lots of new songs and got to play beats with shakers and sticks... thanks for the invite Reppard crew!

Friday we got library cards!!! I had to take John with me because it is really hard to stand at the desk with 2 toddlers in a place where you are supposed to be silent! I am also excited because I learned how to use the library!!! Now we can check out books every week when we go to story time... let the learning begin! I do need to note here that Max is an outstanding helper when it comes to cleaning up... he picked up all the books that him and every other kid had taken off of the shelves and put them in the basket. He is like that at home too, always wanting to help clean up his toys... Neveah on the other hand... not so much of a help!

Saturday we went with Honey and Pa to Stony Point to play in the fountain. I forgot my camera :( Neveah is absolutely fearless. This fountain was a bit more intense than the one in Florida and she ran straight in and put her face over a huge stream of water. Max was a little more careful before heading in... mostly he stayed around the edges, but no worries, he thoroughly enjoyed himself!

She also discovered the Easter hat that Honey bought her... she wears it around the house for hours at a time!


Sweeping is the favorite chore... they have been very helpful inside and out... this week we all did some yard work!


We had a special visit from Marna and Bob (great grandparents) Max and Neveah love it when they get to spend time with them... they especially like saying the name "Bob".




Today we went on a picnic with some friends from church... Both kids really like smoothies, I'm not sure going in Brittany realized that she wouldn't get any more of her smoothie. Thanks for sharing Brit!
